As with all surface water, rural water should be kept as clean as possible. Therefore it is very important to prevent the drainage of polluting waste- and farmyard runoff. Farmyard runoff can often contain fodder leftovers, pressed juices and manure. When this runoff water ends up in the surface water, it can have grave consequences for the quality of the drinking water for the cattle and the water life.
To be able to discharge the farmyard runoff in a durable and reliable way, Afmitech Friesland has joined forces with Betonputten.nl. Together we have developed a system to intercept runoff and treat it according to the activated sludge principle, ensuring the quality of rural water.
