Stagnant waters often lack a sufficient amount of oxygen. In many cases this results in excess growth of algae, but these waters may also become a breeding ground for mosquitoes that can transmit malaria and dengue. Also other hazardous bacteria and parasites may thrive in stagnant waters. In some cases it can be sufficient just to circulate the water whereas in other situations it is necessary to actively bring oxygen into the water.
For stagnant waters, including moats, fishing ponds and harbours, Afmitech has developed a Rotating Bubble Aerator that can both enrich the water with oxygen as well as circulate the water with oxygen enrichment.
